The main objective of the RI2integrate project is to facilitate the utilisation of the economic and development potentials of excellent research infrastructures. This partnership seeks to achieve three main activities: innovative public procurement for the public sector, science parks for small and medium-sized enterprises, and awareness-raising activities primarily aimed at more effective student participation.<\/p>

The RI2integrate project was launched on January 1 2017 and runs until 30 June 2019, with organizations from eight countries participating. The overall goal is fostering a more effective application of scientific results in the economy by strengthening links between research infrastructures, small and medium-sized enterprises, the public sector and the community. The methodology of the project combines the smart specialization approach with the quadruple helix model methodology and creates synergies between different EU and regional financial instruments.<\/p>

To achieve these goals, the partners develop and test three innovative tools. The effective participation of the public sector is supported by a methodology facilitating innovative public procurement, the linking of SMEs to research infrastructures is supported by guidelines related to stimulating economic ecosystems while community participation is supported by the establishment of a roadmap for awareness-raising. The project also focuses on policy impact and for this purpose national and joint action plans are elaborated and the RI2integate Commission covering all countries in the Danube Region has been established.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
